Gulf High's Environmental Club

February 25, 2010 

We are ordering Earth Day t shirts for the club shirts. Please submit your sizes.

The skit for the news will be filmed next Thursday, the 3rd of March, so please show up so we may film you in it!

We are putting up slides on the school news so look out for those.

Also, we are going to have an environmental partol to walk class to class once a week and check if teachers are using their recycling bins. If they aren't, we'll fine them a donation to the club! No joke.

Next Meeting-- March 3rd, a Thurdsday!

The school cleanup has been scheduled for March 20, a Saturday, at 2 pm. Updates will be posted. T shirt ideas are due next week at the meeting, and will be submitted with shirt sizes. Habitat for Humanity-- updates soon!

Shelter cleanup- updates soon aswell.

January 21, 2009

Our next meeting is January 28, in our new room- # 301. We do not have any dues this year. T-shirts will most likely be ordered soon, so any last minute designs are welcome. 

We are also doing a clean up outside of Gulf High, and possibly down school road/ the property. Date to be announced at the next meeting.

Also, we are starting the poster contest. It is to design a poster preferably using recycled materials that promotes environmental awareness. Any size is appropriate, preferably larger than 8.5" by 11"... They will be hung up around the school to advertise our club and promote environmental awareness.

If anyone is interested in a school garden, let us know at the next meeting.

Our next meeting is January 14, 2010, on a Thursday in room 302. If you would like to submit a design for our t shirts, please stop by room 302 and drop it off to Mr. U asap. Our tree project is going quite smoothly-- 100 trees will soon grace the lawn beside the NPR water tower in delicate rows. Pictures to be up soon!

We are finishing planting the pines tomorrow, the 11th, so stop by after school if you would like to help.
